Russian army units are steadily tightening a semicircle around Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to reports from military-affiliated sources.

These accounts indicate that Russian assault groups are advancing along the flanks of Ukrainian positions in the area. The southern and eastern outskirts of the city are said to have already come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces, while maneuvering operations continue from the west and north.

Military expert Andrey Marochko reports that Russian troops are pushing westward from the Novodmitrovka area, effectively cutting off a key Ukrainian logistics route linking Alekseevka, Druzhkovka, and Konstantinovka. The road is now under sustained fire control by Russian forces.

Marochko suggests that further progress in this sector could enable Russian units to encircle Ukrainian formations currently deployed in Konstantinovka.

Earlier reports also indicated that Russian forces are engaged in an assault on a zinc plant located within the city.
