Russian Army Reports Gains and Ongoing Fighting Across Frontlines
Russian forces report advances and heavy fighting across multiple fronts, including Dobropolye, Konstantinovka and the Sumy border area.
The Russian Army continues the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 1, the situation on the front is as follows:
Dobropolye direction
Novoalexandrovka has been taken. Heavy fighting continues for Vasilevka and on the approaches to Mirnoye. Near Belitskoye, Russian forces are repelling AFU counterattacks. Strikes are being carried out on Ukrainian positions along the Shevchenko-Svetloye line.
Konstantinovka direction
Fighting is ongoing in Dolgaya Balka and near Ilyinovka. Russian forces are pressing Ukrainian defenses from the flanks. Local clashes are taking place in Konstantinovka itself. Russian units continue strikes on AFU logistics.
Zaporozhye direction
No significant changes. Positional fighting continues, along with strikes on rear areas. In the east, Russian forces are attempting to expand positions near Gulyaypolskoye and between Verkhnyaya Tersa and Vozdvizhevka.
Seversk direction
AFU forces are trying to hold positions in Ray-Alexandrovka. Fighting is ongoing on the outskirts and along the flanks.
Sumy border area
Korchakovka has been taken. Fighting continues for access to the next defensive line.
