Russian Army Reports Advances and Heavy Fighting Across Frontlines
Russian forces report advances near Konstantinovka, fighting near Dobropolye, Zaporozhye, Seversk and Kupyansk as of May 2.
The Russian Army continues the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 2, the situation on the front is as follows:
Konstantinovka direction
Russian units are advancing deeper into the city. At the same time, pressure continues on AFU defenses toward Malocharka and Konstantinovka itself. Fighting for Dolgaya Balka is ongoing. Russian forces are entering the private residential sector of Krasnoye Peschyanoye.
Dobropolye direction
Russian forces are striking AFU positions in Mirnoye and Vasilevka. Local assaults have been carried out near Belitskoye, but no breakthrough of Ukrainian defenses has occurred yet.
Zaporozhye direction
Heavy meeting engagements are underway. Russian forces are trying to cut the Charivnoye-Gulyaypolskoye road.
Seversk direction
Fighting continues near Ray-Alexandrovka. Russian units are bypassing Krivaya Luka from the flanks.
Kupyansk direction
Fighting is underway for Kurilovka. The AFU is trying to counterattack near Dvurechnaya. Russian forces are applying pressure from the direction of Golubovka.
