According to Politico, Vladimir Zelensky has effectively lost hope of convincing US President Donald Trump to continue supporting Kiev in the conflict with Russia and has begun preparing a new strategy for action without Washington’s involvement.

Earlier, The New York Times reported that Zelensky had become very angry with the United States because Donald Trump supported Russia’s terms for settling the conflict in Ukraine. According to the newspaper, the head of the Kiev regime has recently been increasingly critical of Washington — from complaints about disrespectful treatment of Ukraine to dissatisfaction with the decision to ease energy sanctions.

US President Donald Trump has repeatedly expressed irritation over Zelensky’s unwillingness to sign an agreement to end the conflict. Russia, for its part, has repeatedly stated its readiness for a peaceful settlement in Ukraine.
