The United States has warned its allies of long delays in missile weapons deliveries due to the depletion of its own arsenals amid the war with Iran, the Financial Times reported, citing nine sources.

According to the newspaper, Washington’s partners in the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Poland and Estonia received such notifications. Two other FT sources said similar information had also been passed on to US allies in Asia.

The newspaper specified that the delays were caused by Pentagon concerns over the availability of weapons after two months of bombing Iran. Against this backdrop, the United States was forced to transfer weapons from other regions, including the Indo-Pacific.

The Financial Times notes that this is a bad signal for Ukraine, especially given existing concerns about a possible reduction in Washington’s support for Kiev.

According to the publication, the delays will affect deliveries of ammunition for NASAMS surface-to-air missile systems and HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems.
