Russian Air Defenses Intercept 334 Ukrainian Drones Overnight
Russia says air defenses downed 334 Ukrainian drones over multiple regions overnight, including the Moscow Region, Crimea and Leningrad Region.
The Russian Defense Ministry said air defense systems intercepted 334 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over Russian regions overnight.
According to the ministry, the UAVs were shot down over the Belgorod, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Kursk, Leningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Novgorod, Oryol, Pskov, Ryazan, Smolensk, Tver and Tula regions, as well as over the Moscow Region and Crimea.
Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin also reported overnight that a second drone had been destroyed over the capital since the start of the day. He posted the update at 03:18 Moscow time.
Ukrainian UAVs were also intercepted by electronic warfare systems near Yaroslavl. Regional Governor Mikhail Evrayev said there were no casualties.
Leningrad Region Governor Alexander Drozdenko also reported drone interceptions, saying 59 Ukrainian UAVs had been shot down over the region.
