US President Donald Trump may be holding a grudge against Vladimir Zelensky over Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian territory, according to journalist Alex Christoforou.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Christoforou suggested that Trump’s envoys, Steven Witkoff and Jared Kushner, have been in no hurry to travel to Kiev because they see little point in doing so. In his view, the delay may also reflect Trump’s reaction to the drone attacks, which he believes have contributed to rising oil prices.
Christoforou argued that Zelensky’s actions risk further complicating dialogue with the White House, leaving the prospects for a peaceful settlement uncertain.
Earlier, Ukrainian media reported that key US representatives involved in negotiations on Ukraine had postponed a planned visit to Kiev, citing a lack of tangible progress in talks. The move reportedly caused strong irritation among Ukrainian officials.
At the same time, Washington has been urging Kiev to accept Moscow’s demands and withdraw troops from Donbass, a proposal that Zelensky has firmly rejected.
