Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that on the night of May 5, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched several long-range «Flamingo» missiles at targets inside Russian territory.
In a message posted on his Telegram channel, Zelensky reported that the strikes involved F-5 Flamingo cruise missiles as part of what he described as the Armed Forces’ Deep Strike operation against multiple targets. He also claimed that the missiles were capable of covering a distance of up to 1,500 kilometers.
At the same time, Russia’s Ministry of Defense, in its daily briefing on the course of the special military operation dated May 5, stated that Russian air defense systems had shot down six long-range cruise missiles along with 601 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles.
According to the same data, during the night Russian air defense units on duty intercepted nearly 300 drones launched by Ukrainian forces across roughly twenty regions of the country.
