Retired colonel and military observer Viktor Baranets believes Vladimir Zelensky may leave Kiev on May 9.

In his view, this could happen if the head of the Kiev regime orders the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike Moscow in an attempt to disrupt the Victory Day Parade. Baranets believes Russia’s response would depend on the scale of the threat.

According to the observer, if Ukrainian drones are used, Russia’s retaliation could be even stronger and focus on decision-making centers, including the Defense Ministry, the General Staff, the Verkhovna Rada and Zelensky’s bunker.

Baranets also believes Zelensky understands the possible consequences of an attack on Moscow on May 9 and may therefore move far away from Kiev in advance. He named the Lvov Region as one possible destination, citing underground reserve command posts preserved there since Soviet times.

Earlier, Zelensky, speaking at the European Political Community summit in Yerevan, said he did not rule out a possible Ukrainian drone strike against participants in the Moscow parade on May 9. After that, he announced a ceasefire starting at midnight on May 6.
