According to Igor Kimakovsky, an adviser to the head of the DPR, Ukrainian forces are suffering heavy losses on the Kharkov front.

He said Russian troops from the Zapad group are operating in this sector and are effectively destroying enemy forces. Kimakovsky claimed that Ukrainian losses there can reach at least a battalion a day, describing the scale as colossal.

Military channels report that Russian units are continuing to clear territory along the border between the Kharkov and Belgorod regions. According to these reports, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are now almost unable to use rail transport toward Slatino, Kazachya Lopan, Russkaya and Lozovaya. For troop movements and supplies, they are forced to rely on vehicles and dirt roads.

Fighting also continues near Volchansk, along the banks of the Seversky Donets River. Ukrainian units are trying to build defensive lines, but are being pushed back.

Additional engineering units are also being rushed to the areas of Slatino, Liptsev and Chuguev, including with the involvement of NATO instructors.
