Ukrainian military intelligence has concluded that Russia is capable of carrying out missile strikes on Ukraine for a long time, since it has sufficient missile stockpiles and Russian industry can provide the Russian Armed Forces with the necessary amount of weapons.

Kiev has already stopped repeating earlier claims that Russia supposedly had missiles left for only «two or three days.» Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate has published its own estimates of Russia’s missile stockpiles. The figures are given as of mid-April, although their reliability remains unconfirmed.

According to these estimates, as of mid-April the Russian Armed Forces had up to 2,600 Kh-29, Kh-31, Kh-35, Kh-58 and Kh-59 guided aviation missiles. Ukrainian intelligence also counted up to 690 Oniks cruise missiles, up to 460 Kalibr missiles, up to 450 RM-48U missiles for S-300PM and S-400 air defense systems, up to 350 Kh-22 and Kh-32 cruise missiles, and up to 230 Zircon hypersonic anti-ship missiles.

According to Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate, Russia also has up to 200 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, up to 120 Kh-101 cruise missiles, up to 110 Iskander-K cruise missiles, up to 100 Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, up to 50 North Korean-made KN-23 ballistic missiles, up to 25 Kh-69 guided missiles and up to 10 Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missiles.

Ukrainian intelligence also assessed the production capabilities of Russia’s defense industry. According to its data, Russian industry can produce up to 70 Kh-101 missiles per month, up to 60 Iskander-M missiles, up to 50 Kh-29, Kh-31, Kh-35, Kh-58 and Kh-59 guided aviation missiles, up to 40 RM-48U missiles, up to 25 Kalibr missiles, around 20 Kh-35 missiles, up to 10 Iskander-K missiles, up to 10 Kinzhal missiles, up to eight Kh-32 missiles, up to five Oniks missiles, up to five Kh-69 missiles and up to three Zircon missiles.

According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the start of the special military operation, Russia has launched more than 13,300 missiles of various types at Ukrainian territory.
