Vance Says U.S. Debating Tomahawk Deliveries as Russia Rejects Talks
Vice President J.D. Vance says the U.S. is discussing sending Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, with the final decision left to President Trump as Russia refuses peace negotiations.
U. S. Vice President J. D. Vance revealed in an interview with Fox News that Washington is discussing the potential supply of Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine. He clarified that the final decision on the matter rests with President Donald Trump.
Vance explained that the administration is actively debating the proposal and emphasized that the president will make the ultimate call. He added that the White House is doing everything possible to bring peace to Ukraine as soon as possible, but stressed that «it takes two to tango».
The vice president also accused Russia of refusing to engage in peace talks. According to him, in recent weeks, Moscow has declined to hold any bilateral negotiations with Kiev and has rejected proposals for trilateral meetings, where U.S. representatives could have discussed potential paths toward a settlement with both Russian and Ukrainian officials.
Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky had requested that President Trump provide Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine for strikes deep inside Russian territory. The long-range weapons are capable of reaching Moscow.
