Russian Forces Advance Near Vozdvizhevka on Donetsk-Zaporozhye Front
Russian troops are pressing Ukrainian positions near Vozdvizhevka, gaining fire control over a key road and complicating Ukrainian logistics.
Russian army units continue to push Ukrainian Armed Forces groups from their positions at the junction of the Donetsk and Zaporozhye directions, according to Voennoye Obozreniye.
The main fighting is now unfolding slightly east of Vozdvizhevka. Russian forces have formed a salient stretching from the railway toward the village and have already reached its approaches. The eastern and southern outskirts of Vozdvizhevka, located about 23 kilometers west of Gulyaypole, are now effectively in a gray zone.
This gives Russian troops the ability to pressure Ukrainian units from three directions, with only the western side remaining outside that pressure arc.
From the north, Russia’s advance is supported by Rozhdestvenskoye, which was taken earlier. To the south lies Verkhnyaya Tersa, which remains under Ukrainian control. However, between Verkhnyaya Tersa and Vozdvizhevka, Russian troops have moved south of the Solenaya River and brought an important road under fire control.
As a result, Ukrainian units near the village are now effectively linked to the rear only through open fields. Those areas are clearly visible to drones, making Ukrainian logistics significantly harder.
Under these conditions, the outlet notes, even fortified positions become vulnerable. With Ukrainian forces lacking stable supply routes, the capture of Vozdvizhevka by Russian troops is presented as a matter of time.
At the same time, Voennoye Obozreniye does not expect a rapid Russian breakthrough in this sector. The terrain is difficult: open fields, forest belts and very few natural shelters. Russian units are forced to move carefully, in small groups, advancing step by step. Still, the movement continues.
