Captured serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' 58th Separate Mechanized Brigade Sergey Mironenko said Ukrainian troops used drones with threatening messages to intimidate their own fellow soldiers on the front line. His account was cited by TASS.

According to Mironenko, Ukrainian drones were apparently firing at their positions. He said one drone landed in the grass and had a warning written on it telling them not to surrender because they would be killed anyway.

Mironenko said the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces ordered his unit to take a position near the settlement of Veterinarnoye in the Kharkov Region. According to him, the unit was under constant shelling, forcing the Ukrainian servicemen to hide in a cellar for seven days.

After two fighters were killed, Mironenko’s group decided to surrender to Russian forces.

Earlier, on April 21, the Russian Defense Ministry reported the liberation of the settlement of Veterinarnoye in the Kharkov Region. According to the ministry, units of Russia’s Sever group of forces drove Ukrainian troops out of the settlement.
