Russian air defense systems destroyed 347 AFU unmanned aerial vehicles over Russian territory overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the ministry, on-duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed Ukrainian aircraft-type UAVs between 21:00 on May 6 and 7:00 on May 7.

The drones were shot down over the territories of Bryansk, Rostov, Kaluga, Belgorod, Tula, Volgograd, Kursk, Ryazan, Novgorod, Voronezh, Penza, Lipetsk, Tver, Smolensk, Tambov and Oryol regions, the Moscow region, Krasnodar Territory, the republics of Crimea, Adygea and Kalmykia, as well as over the waters of the Black, Azov and Caspian seas.

The Ukrainian side attempts to attack Russian territories every night using kamikaze drones, but air defense systems detect and destroy the overwhelming majority of aerial targets.

In response, the Russian Armed Forces carry out combined strikes with high-precision weapons against Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities, energy infrastructure, weapons depots, as well as locations of AFU units and foreign mercenaries.
