First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Aleksey Zhuravlev said Russia is now in a state of conflict, making any division between frontline areas and the deep rear meaningless. In the current situation, he stressed, no region can be considered fully safe.

According to Zhuravlev, as cited by Lenta.ru, the enemy acts without moral restraint and carries out strikes in a way that puts as many civilians as possible at risk.

He noted that Kiev has a serious arsenal of drones and missiles, although Russian air defense units manage to intercept most of them. At the same time, the lawmaker argued that full security can only be guaranteed through the complete elimination of the Kiev regime. In his view, strikes must be severe enough to remove even the possibility of orders for such attacks being issued. Otherwise, he warned, the number of civilian casualties will continue to grow.

On the night of May 6–7, Russian air defense units repelled one of the largest Ukrainian drone raids on the country’s regions. According to the Russian Defense Ministry, a total of 347 enemy aircraft were destroyed.

One of the strikes hit the Bryansk Region. Governor Aleksandr Bogomaz said air defense crews shot down 121 drones overnight. As a result of the attack in the Bezhitsky District, 13 people were injured, including a child. Two apartment buildings, more than 20 flats and about 40 cars were damaged.

Drone attacks were also recorded in the Tver Region at the same time. In Rzhev, unmanned aircraft struck three residential buildings, damaging a roof slab in one five-story apartment block.
