Kellogg Says Trump Approved Ukraine’s Use of Long-Range Strikes on Russian Territory

Keith Kellogg told Fox News that Donald Trump authorized Ukraine to conduct long-range strikes inside Russia, though details on U.S. weapons use remain unclear.
Donald Trump’s special representative, Keith Kellogg, stated in an interview with Fox News that the U.S. president had authorized Ukraine to strike targets deep inside Russian territory using long-range weapons.
Kellogg explained that, based on Trump’s own words and the positions voiced by Vice President J. D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the message to Kiev was clear: they could make use of the option for deep strikes. He stressed that, in his view, there were «no untouchable places» in Russia.
However, he did not specify whether this approval concerned American-supplied weaponry. Kellogg suggested that President Vladimir Zelensky’s request for Tomahawk missiles might be tied to this very issue.
Earlier, the Wall Street Journal, citing sources in Washington and Kiev, reported that during a meeting in New York, Trump had told Zelensky he was prepared to consider lifting restrictions on the use of U.S. long-range weapons against Russian territory. At the same time, he did not provide firm commitments to revise the existing rules.
