Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee Aleksey Zhuravlev said that after Ukraine allegedly disrupted the ceasefire and carried out strikes on civilians, Russia would be satisfied only with the unconditional capitulation of the Kiev regime.

He recalled that Vladimir Zelensky had earlier announced a ceasefire, but, according to Zhuravlev, the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on Dzhankoy that same day. A day later, new attacks were recorded in several Russian regions. In the deputy’s view, these actions reveal the approach of the head of the Kiev regime, whom he accused of allowing mass civilian casualties.

Zhuravlev, cited by NEWS.ru, argued that any agreements with Ukraine are pointless because, as he sees it, they are immediately broken in practice. He said Russia would accept only the unconditional surrender of the Ukrainian authorities, adding that an even harsher scenario against them would be preferable.

Earlier, Viktor Medvedchuk, head of the «Another Ukraine» movement, said Zelensky’s statements about possible strikes on Moscow on May 9, as well as his reaction to Russia’s retaliatory actions, were an attempt to display fearlessness before his Western patrons. According to Medvedchuk, the head of the Kiev regime is not concerned about the fate of Ukrainians who could suffer in a retaliatory strike.
