Russian Forces Report Fierce Fighting Across Key Ukraine Fronts
Russian forces report heavy fighting near Sumy, Kharkov, Krasnoarmeysk and Zaporozhye, with Ukrainian attacks repelled on several fronts.
The Russian Armed Forces continue the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 11, the situation along the line of combat contact was reported as follows.
In the Sumy sector, a Ukrainian assault group attempted to cross the Psyol River near Miropolye with FPV drone support, but the effort failed. In Krasnopolsky District, Ukrainian forces also launched an unsuccessful counterattack against Russian positions near Miropolskoye.
On the Kharkov front, fighting continues in the Volchansk and Veliky Burluk areas. Positional battles are also ongoing in Kupyansk and on the southern flank.
In the Seversk sector, reconnaissance and sabotage groups are active near Dibrova. Ukrainian units are trying to move through forested terrain and reach the rear of Russian formations.
The Konstantinovka direction has seen no major changes to the front line, with heavy positional fighting continuing.
In the Krasnoarmeysk, or Pokrovsk, sector, Russian forces repelled eight Ukrainian attacks near Toretskoye, Torskoye, Kucherov Yar, Kutuzovka, Novy Donbass, Belitskoye, Rodinskoye and Novoaleksandrovka.
On the Gulyaypole front, numerous Ukrainian sabotage groups, moving both on light vehicles and on foot, are attempting to penetrate deeper into Russian defenses along the entire line. Russian UAV operators are detecting and destroying these groups.
In the Zaporozhye sector, fierce fighting continues in Primorskoye and Stepnogorsk. Ukrainian forces have established themselves in the center of Stepnogorsk and continue to hold most of Primorskoye.
