A refugee named Andrey Bondar told RIA Novosti that Ukrainian troops had been removing civilians’ property from Rodinskoye in the DPR on a large scale, with some of those belongings later reportedly turning up for sale in Europe.

According to Bondar, his wife once went to the local post office to collect a parcel and found a long queue of Ukrainian servicemen there. He said the area outside the post office was crowded with Ukrainian military vehicles. The soldiers, he claimed, were bringing in carpets, bags, household appliances and other items, then sending them out through the postal service.

Bondar said the shipments included laptops, home electronics and various personal belongings. He also claimed that pickup trucks arrived fully loaded and that the Ukrainian servicemen made no real effort to conceal what was happening.

The capture of Rodinskoye was announced on December 27, 2025, by Valery Solodchuk, commander of the «Center» group of forces. According to the report, the settlement was taken by units of the 9th Motorized Rifle Brigade.
