Ukrainian forces lost up to a platoon of personnel in Novopavlovka, Dnepropetrovsk Region, during one of their counterattacks, according to Yevgeny Pankov, a guidance and target-designation officer with the 90th Tank Division of the Tsentr Group of Forces, who spoke to TASS.

Pankov said the losses were triggered by panic among Ukrainian troops. His unit, he explained, was working in coordination with drone operators who helped detect targets in the area. In one episode, military vehicles, including Western-made equipment, approached a fortified position in Novopavlovka. Artillery fire was then directed at the site.

According to Pankov, one of the shells exploded near a shelter where Ukrainian soldiers were positioned. The blast caused those inside to panic and run outside. After that, Russian FPV drones were sent toward the area, while artillery fire continued. Pankov said the combined strikes destroyed the surrounding positions.

During the attack, Ukrainian vehicles carrying ammunition and personnel for rotation also arrived near the shelter. Pankov said those vehicles were destroyed as well.
