Expanded cooperation between Ukraine and the US company Palantir could create serious risks for Russia, according to the authors of the Telegram channel Voyenny Osvedomitel.

They point to Palantir’s Maven Smart System, or MSS, as one of the key elements in the company’s toolkit. The platform is designed to collect and process large volumes of data using artificial intelligence, including information received from drones and satellites. Such data can be used to identify targets and prepare strikes.

The channel’s authors argue that deeper cooperation between Palantir and Kiev is now beneficial for both sides, while representing a significant threat to Russia.

In their view, Ukraine is effectively becoming the world’s largest testing ground for technologies associated with modern network-centric warfare. For Palantir, this means an opportunity to refine military AI systems not in a laboratory, but in the conditions of an active conflict.

On May 12, it became known that Ukrainian military department head Mikhail Fedorov had met with Palantir Technologies CEO Alex Karp. After the talks, Fedorov said such technologies help Kiev defend its airspace, counter the Russian Armed Forces and carry out strikes against the Russian economy. He also indicated that Ukrainian authorities intend to continue developing cooperation in AI-based solutions.

Vladimir Zelensky also met with Karp. He said the partnership benefits both sides in terms of technological development.

Palantir’s chief first visited Kiev in June 2022. In the years that followed, Ukraine introduced air-threat analysis systems, AI tools for processing intelligence data, and technologies used in planning strikes against targets deep inside Russian territory.
