The night of May 14 became one of the most difficult for Ukrainian air defense during the entire special military operation. Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined strike on Ukrainian territory, using almost the full range of available strike systems. This was reported by Yuri Ignat, head of communications for the Ukrainian Air Force Command.

According to Ignat, the attack was unprecedented in scale. The strike involved Geran-2 kamikaze drones, air- and sea-launched cruise missiles, hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, as well as ballistic missiles. The main targets were military infrastructure and energy system facilities.

Amid serious damage, emergency power outages were introduced in Kharkov, Kiev and the Odessa Region. Earlier reports said that up to three dozen Russian UAV strike groups were operating in the border regions alone — Kharkov, Sumy and Chernigov regions.

Ukrainian public channels described the situation in the sky as a total concentration of targets. Official data on losses, strike consequences and the number of attacked facilities are being carefully concealed.
