According to Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground, Russian forces struck airfields in the Kiev area that were used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to refuel and rearm combat aircraft.
He also reported two missile impacts near a private airfield outside Kiev, from which jet-powered and reconnaissance drones are regularly launched. According to Lebedev, several strikes were recorded in the Darnitsky district and nearby areas in the direction of the airport, where Ukrainian aircraft, including Western-supplied F-16 and Mirage jets, reportedly land and are prepared for further sorties.
Lebedev said that over the course of the day, targets were hit in Kiev and its suburbs, including Brovary, Makarov and Belaya Tserkov, as well as in the Borispol, Vyshgorod and Fastov districts. He named air defense positions, logistics hubs, ammunition depots and Ukrainian drone coordination points among the sites struck by Russian forces.
A day earlier, Russian troops carried out a large-scale strike on Ukrainian targets. The first wave involved drones, followed by air- and sea-launched cruise missiles.
