Russian defense-sector enterprises increased production by more than 20 percent in 2025, according to First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov, who spoke at the Congress of Machine Builders at the National Center «Russia».
Manturov said defense industry companies had raised their overall output by 21 percent.
He added that exports of Russian-made weapons are also growing. By the end of 2025, revenue from such deliveries reached $15 billion.
The first deputy prime minister also pointed to broader growth in machine-building exports, which rose by 28 percent. Products used in the construction of nuclear power plants and other power-generation facilities are in especially strong demand on foreign markets.
At the same time, Manturov stressed that even amid the special military operation, the share of civilian products in the sector is increasing. It has now exceeded 30 percent.
Manturov separately addressed laser technologies. According to him, Russia uses them in weapons and military equipment, including to protect critical infrastructure from enemy drone attacks. He added that laser-based solutions are now close to broad deployment not only in defense, but across all branches of industry.
