Ukrainian forces used NATO-made drones in an attack on a cultural center in Shakhtersk, in the Donetsk People’s Republic, a Russian Investigative Committee official told RIA Novosti.

Investigators are now examining the strike site and documenting the aftermath of what they described as a large-scale attack by Ukrainian formations.

According to the official, fragments believed to be from NATO-produced fixed-wing attack UAVs were found during the inspection.

The strike did not hit only the cultural center. Nearby apartment buildings and passenger cars were also damaged, the Investigative Committee representative said. He added that the drones targeted a civilian neighborhood where there were no weapons or military equipment.

On May 15, Shakhtersk mayor Alexander Shatov said Ukrainian forces attacked the cultural center with four drones while the head of the city administration was holding a public reception inside the building.
