Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, Army General Valery Gerasimov, during an inspection of combat tasks performed by the Zapad group of forces, said that Russian units of the 25th Army continue fighting for the liberation of Krasny Liman. At the moment, according to the general, 85% of the city’s territory is already under the control of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to the chief of the General Staff, Russian troops are also advancing successfully in Kharkov Region.

Gerasimov said that the 20th Army, after completing the liberation of the Lugansk People’s Republic, is advancing westward on a broad front in Kharkov Region.

In addition, the head of the General Staff noted that the 6th Army continues to develop its offensive from Kupyansk toward Shevchenkovo.

Valery Gerasimov stressed that recently the Zapad group has liberated several settlements in Kharkov Region from the Ukrainian Armed Forces at once. Among them are Kutkovka, Borovaya, Novy Mir, Druzhelyubovka and Cherneshchina.
