Russian forces on the Black Sea coast of the Krasnodar region have discovered a Ukrainian unmanned surface vessel (USV) involved in attacks on the ports of Novorossiysk and Tuapse.
This vessel, described as a maritime drone mother-ship, is designed to transport other unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Containers carrying FPV drones, controlled via fiber-optic cables, were found on the ship’s hull.
The Telegram channel Military Theme Z published footage showing the captured enemy vessel. Typically, such USVs are deployed deep into enemy territory, but their operational range is limited. The footage also reveals an antenna mast on the vessel, which is believed to be equipped with a possible electronic warfare (EW) system.
It is speculated that the captured vessel might belong to the Magura class of drones, potentially modified to launch multiple FPV drones from its deck.
