The Russian Armed Forces continue the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 18, the situation along the line of combat contact was developing across several key sectors.

On the Sumy front, Russian assault units destroyed several Ukrainian combat groups in the Shostka district and advanced toward Ulanovo. In the Sumy district, Russian forces are moving in the direction of Zapselye and Kondratovka.

On the Kharkov front, Russian fighters advanced up to 150 meters near the village of Granovo. Rifle battles continue in the forested areas of the Volchansk district, along the right bank of the Volchya River, as well as in Volokhovka and Karaichnoye. On the Velikoburluk section, small-arms fighting is taking place near the village of Budarki. Russian troops have taken Borovaya in the Kharkov region, on the left bank of the Oskol River.

On the Krasnolimanskoye front, Russian forces are advancing through the forests west of Svyatogorsk, Aleksandrovka and Koroviy Yar. Russian troops are also increasing pressure inside Krasny Liman itself. On the Seversk section, Russian units are moving west of the village of Kaleniki. Fighting continues on the approaches to Rai-Aleksandrovka.

On the Konstantinovka front, battles are underway both inside the city and in its surrounding areas.

On the Krasnoarmeyskoye front, fighting continues for Vasilevka and Mirnoye. Russian forces are advancing near Rodinskoye toward Shevchenko. Clashes are also ongoing around Belitskoye and Novy Donbass. Russian troops are taking new positions west and northwest of Toretskoye.

On the Gulyaypolye front, Russian forces are advancing from Charivnoye toward Gulyaypolskoye. Tactical gains have been reported in Vozdvizhevka and Verkhnyaya Tersa. Fighting is also taking place near Berezovoye, Vishnevoye and Verbovoye.
