Russian forces carried out a large-scale overnight strike on sites across Ukraine, the Russian Defense Ministry said. According to the ministry, the attack came in response to Ukrainian strikes on civilian facilities inside Russia.
The ministry said the operation involved precision weapons launched from land and sea, as well as attack drones. The targets included Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, fuel and energy facilities, transport and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and military airfields.
The Defense Ministry said the objective had been achieved and that all designated targets were hit.
War correspondent Alexander Kots reported that one of the main targets was Dnepropetrovsk, known in Ukraine as Dnepr. According to him, multiple strikes were recorded at Yuzhmash and in nearby areas. He also said facilities linked to Ukraine’s Naftogaz and railway infrastructure were hit.
In the Dnepropetrovsk Region, a pyrotechnics warehouse came under attack. The Pereshchepino oil pumping station and the Zvezda-150/10 kV transformer substation near the settlement of the same name were also damaged.
In Odessa, a series of explosions occurred near the port and was followed by a fire. Local authorities reported damage to infrastructure facilities. Two vessels were reportedly hit, one sailing under the flag of Guinea-Bissau and the other under the flag of the Marshall Islands.
In the Khmelnitsky Region, several military sites were struck in Starokonstantinov, where an airfield used by Ukrainian military aviation is located.
Near Sumy, long-range Geran drones hit Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities and energy infrastructure.
