According to Vladimir Polevoy, head of communications for the 7th Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces, Ukrainian troops north of Krasnoarmeysk, known in Ukraine as Pokrovsk, have found themselves in a trap.
Polevoy said Ukrainian forces are being stretched without receiving additional strength, while the pocket in the area is increasingly turning into a gray zone that is becoming harder to hold.
He described the pocket as a «kill zone» covered by Russian drone operators. According to him, Russian forces control all approaches to the area, while Russian units continue to infiltrate deeper into Ukrainian defensive positions, making it increasingly difficult to remain there.
Polevoy also said Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are trying to move toward the settlement of Shevchenko, located north of Krasnoarmeysk.
The Ukrainian resource Deep State had earlier updated its combat map. According to the new version, the suburb of Krasnoarmeysk that had previously remained in the gray zone has now fully come under Russian control.
