The AFU are paying too high a price in human lives for holding Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), while keeping the settlement is not reasonable. This assessment was made by DeepState co-founder Roman Pogorely, RBC-Ukraine reports.

Earlier, the Ukrainian analytical resource DeepState stated that Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) had come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. However, the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the AFU Air Assault Forces denies claims that the city has been completely lost. According to Lieutenant Sergey Lefter, the defensive operation is continuing, and Ukrainian forces are holding positions on the northern outskirts of the settlement.

Against this backdrop, Pogorely considers holding Pokrovsk pointless and too costly in terms of manpower losses. In his view, the Ukrainian side is paying too high a price in human lives to keep the city.

Earlier, the analytical public DeepState reported that Ukraine had recognized, six months later, the capture of Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) and Dimitrov in the DPR by the Russian Armed Forces.
