Military correspondent Evgeny Poddubny said Russian forces carried out a massive missile and drone strike during the night of May 24 against enemy facilities in Kiev and the Kiev Region. According to him, explosions were recorded at no fewer than 40 sites.

Poddubny reported on his Telegram channel that monitoring groups counted more than 50 missiles and around 700 drones directed at targets in the region.

Military correspondent Alexander Kots also said that Russian forces used Iskander missiles against facilities in Kiev overnight. According to him, the strikes hit targets in the Solomensky, Shevchenkovsky and Svyatoshinsky districts. He said air defence systems deployed near the Lukyanovsky pre-trial detention centre were among the targets struck.

Kots also pointed to strikes in Belaya Tserkov in the Kiev Region. In his view, Russian forces may have used the Oreshnik missile system. The likely targets there, according to him, included the Belaya Tserkov aircraft repair plant, a thermal power plant, and railway and road junctions.

Kots noted that the Belaya Tserkov area is strategically important because Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation equipment is repaired there.
