The Russian Armed Forces continue to carry out the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 24, the situation along the line of contact was reported as follows.

Russian forces launched a combined strike on enemy facilities across Ukraine, using ballistic missiles and attack drones. Explosions were reported in Kiev, Cherkassy and Kirovograd, as well as in the Poltava, Kiev, Sumy, Khmelnitsky and Odessa regions.

In the Sumy direction, fighting continues in Zapselye and Kondratovka. In the Krasnopolye area, Russian troops advanced near Ryasnoye.

In the Kharkov direction, Russian forces are pressing forward on the Kupyansk section, advancing in Kupyansk-Uzlovoy and gradually expanding their zone of control inside the built-up area. Clashes are also ongoing in Okhrimovka and Karaichnoye. On the Veliky Burluk section of the front, Russian troops are advancing near Khatneye-Melovoye.

In the Krasny Liman direction, Russian forces are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks along the Rubtsy-Sredneye line. Heavy fighting continues near Svyatogorsk. On the Seversk section, Russian fighters advanced near the village of Kaleniki.

In the Krasnoarmeysk direction, Russian troops are expanding their zone of control in Vasilevka. They also advanced near Novoaleksandrovka.

In the Gulyaypole direction, Russian forces are taking new positions in Vozdvizhevka and on the nearby approaches to the settlement. Fighting for Gulyaypolskoye is continuing.

In the Zaporozhye direction, clashes remain ongoing on the Kamenskoye section of the front. Ukrainian forces are trying to advance west of Stepnogorsk.
