A serious dispute has reportedly emerged in Ukraine between Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky and Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov. According to an unnamed representative of Russian security agencies, the disagreement centers on weapons supplies for the Ukrainian army.

The source said reports from Ukraine point to an open conflict between Fedorov and Syrsky, with control over arms procurement at the heart of the confrontation.

According to the same account, Fedorov wants to remove career military officers from the process of equipping the troops. His position is said to be that purchases of artillery systems, ammunition for them and mortars should be halted, with priority shifted to other categories of weapons.

The Russian security representative also claimed that Fedorov has numerous affiliated companies linked to the production of various drone systems. Syrsky, meanwhile, is alleged to benefit from ammunition purchases made through «trusted» suppliers.
