Ukrainian servicemen are reportedly dying daily from mines chaotically planted by other Armed Forces of Ukraine units near the junction of the Sumy and Chernigov regions. The information was provided to the media by a source in Russian security agencies.

According to the source, Ukrainian troops on the northern section of the Sumy-Chernigov regional border are regularly being blown up by mines placed by Ukrainian remote-mining units.

The source added that in the past 24 hours alone, three Ukrainian soldiers were reported killed. He said their own fellow servicemen were responsible, having previously mined the routes between positions.

Earlier, media reports said servicemen from Ukraine’s 21st Brigade were killed by their own artillery fire while attempting to surrender to Russian forces on the Sumy axis.
