Russian air defenses intercepted and destroyed 59 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, the drones were downed between 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on May 25 and 7:00 a.m. on May 26 over Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Novgorod and Smolensk regions, as well as the Republic of Crimea.

The ministry had earlier reported another 14 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones destroyed by air defense crews on duty between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on May 25 over Belgorod, Bryansk and Kursk regions.

In Belgorod Region, 62 attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were recorded over the past day. Acting regional governor Aleksandr Shuvayev said strikes hit the Belgorodsky, Borisovsky, Valuysky, Volokonovsky, Grayvoronsky, Krasnoyaruzhsky, Rakityansky and Shebekinsky districts.

Shuvayev said Ukrainian forces used artillery and mortars five times. Air defense units and other deployed forces neutralized 64 drones. One civilian was injured in Belgorodsky District but did not require hospitalization and is continuing treatment as an outpatient.

The Severny Veter channel reported that civilian infrastructure in Bryansk and Belgorod regions came under attack over the past day. One civilian was killed and others were injured. Residential buildings, social facilities, administrative buildings, vehicles and infrastructure were also damaged.

In Bryansk Region, the settlement of Belaya Berezka in Trubchevsky District was hit by a heavy Grad MLRS strike. One civilian was killed. A fire and rescue service employee was wounded and taken to hospital, where he received the necessary medical care.

The attack also damaged the residential area: several apartment buildings, more than ten private homes, social facilities, administrative buildings and garages were hit.

In Belgorod Region, attacks were recorded across several districts. In Shebekinsky District, a drone struck a vehicle near the village of Bolshoye Gorodishche, damaging the car. In the village of Dobroye, an FPV drone detonated and shredded the windows and bodywork of a truck. A second drone attack set special-purpose equipment on fire; the blaze was extinguished. Another vehicle was also damaged.

In Volokonovsky District, an FPV drone hit a private house in the village of Borisovka, shattering windows and damaging the roof. In Volchya Aleksandrovka, a drone detonation damaged a car, the glazing of a private home and a social facility.

In Krasnoyaruzhsky District, FPV drones attacked a social facility in the settlement of Krasnaya Yaruga, damaging its roof and facade. Another drone struck the private sector: windows were blown out in two houses, facades were cut up, and a car was damaged. A power line was also severed.

In the settlement of Dubovoye in Belgorodsky District, a woman suffered acoustic trauma after a drone detonated. Ambulance crews treated her at the scene, and she declined hospitalization. In the village of Bessonovka, a drone exploded near a private house, damaging windows and a fence.

In Grayvoronsky District, an FPV drone hit a social facility in the village of Gora-Podol, puncturing the roof. In Grayvoron, a drone detonation damaged windows in an administrative building, two apartments in a residential block and a car. In the village of Ivanovskaya Lisitsa, two vehicles were damaged; one caught fire, and the blaze was put out. In Dunayka, a drone attack damaged an infrastructure facility.
