The Russian Armed Forces continue carrying out the special military operation in Ukraine. As of the morning of May 26, the situation along the line of contact was reported as follows.

Sumy direction

Russian units advanced on 22 sections of the front, moving up to 700 meters. Rifle engagements continue in Zapselye, Ivolzhanskoye, Kondratovka and Pisarevka. During heavy fighting in the village of Ryasnoye and around the settlement, Russian forces advanced by up to 550 meters.

Kharkov direction

Russian troops are fighting in the village of Granov. On the Volchansk section, Russian forces are pressing Ukrainian defenses in Karaichnoye and Okhrimovka. On the Veliky Burluk section, Russian troops advanced by roughly 1,100 meters across four areas: in the village of Budarki and in the forested areas of the Kupyansk district near Novovasilievka.

Krasny Liman direction

Fighting is underway near Redkodub and Drobyshevo. On the Seversk section, clashes continue south and east of Rai-Aleksandrovka.

Konstantinovka direction

Russian assault units have already been reported operating in the western part of Konstantinovka. They have taken positions in high-rise residential areas, which Ukrainian forces are targeting with artillery and drones. Despite these strikes, Ukrainian troops have so far been unable to stop the buildup of Russian forces there.

Krasnoarmeysk direction

Russian forces are fighting for Mirnoye and Vasilevka. Advances have also been reported near Rodinskoye.

Gulyai-Polye direction

Russian troops are expanding their control near Verkhnyaya Tersa and south of Vozdvizhevka. The Russian army has taken the village of Dobropasovo. Fighting continues on the section of the front between Lesnoye and Aleksandrograd.

Zaporozhye direction

Ukrainian forces are attempting to expand their zone of control in Primorskoye and Stepnogorsk.
