Kalashnikov to Present New SKAT 220 Drone at Security Forum
Kalashnikov will unveil the SKAT 220 drone, a compact UAV with up to 160 km/h speed, 150 minutes of flight time and wide civilian uses.
Kalashnikov Concern said it will unveil its new in-house unmanned aerial vehicle, the SKAT 220, for the first time.
The drone will be presented at the International Security Forum held under the auspices of the Russian Security Council. The event is scheduled for May 26–29, 2026, at the Live Arena multifunctional complex in Moscow Region.
According to the company, the new UAV was developed on the basis of the well-known SKAT 350M, but differs from it in size and weight. The SKAT 220 has a smaller wingspan of 2.20 meters and weighs 12 kilograms. Kalashnikov said these features allow the drone to reach speeds of up to 160 km/h, making it unique in its class.
The company also noted that the aircraft is powered by an electric motor and can remain airborne for more than 150 minutes. It is launched from a catapult and lands using a parachute system. Kalashnikov stressed that the model has inherited a high level of reliability and wear resistance from previous developments.
The SKAT 220 is designed for a wide range of tasks, including security, protection, environmental monitoring and agricultural use. It can also be used to inspect fuel and energy infrastructure, transport networks and power lines.
