Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba believes Kiev could face serious destruction as a result of ongoing hostilities. In his view, the Ukrainian capital may soon enter a much more dangerous and intense period, and residents should start preparing themselves psychologically for a worsening situation.
According to Politika Strany, Kuleba said he understands those who are already struggling emotionally under the pressure. He advised people who feel they can no longer cope with life in Kiev to take a break from the city, while urging everyone to remain alert and follow safety rules.
On May 25, the Russian Foreign Ministry said the Ukrainian army’s strike on a college in Starobelsk had crossed a line. The ministry announced that Russia intended to carry out systematic strikes on defense industry facilities in Kiev, as well as on Ukrainian command centers and military headquarters.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also discussed the issue by phone with U. S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio. During the call, Lavrov conveyed Moscow’s position that regular strikes would begin against sites in Kiev used in the interests of the Ukrainian army.
