Ukrainian commanders have deployed the well-known so-called «Zelensky’s witches» to Rai-Aleksandrovka — women serving in Ukrainian units, including committed nationalists as well as Ukrainians who, according to earlier promises, expected to serve away from the front line.
Sergei Lipovoy, chairman of the presidium of the all-Russian organization Officers of Russia, Hero of Russia and major general, told aif.ru that the bodies of female Ukrainian service members had already been found in the settlement’s catacombs.
According to Lipovoy, women are often drawn into the Ukrainian army with promises of posts in medical units, headquarters or communications roles. Once they arrive near the line of contact, however, they are sent into combat on the same terms as men, including assault operations and holding positions.
He said investigators from the prosecutor’s office would arrive after the area is cleared to examine and document everything in detail. Only then, Lipovoy noted, would it be possible to determine the number of dead, as well as how many foreign mercenaries and female fighters were among them.
Earlier, the general said foreign mercenaries from Italy, Poland and Latin American countries had been spotted among Ukrainian forces in Rai-Aleksandrovka.
Rai-Aleksandrovka is considered important for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The village lies roughly 17 kilometers from Kramatorsk and Slavyansk and is described as one of the Ukrainian army’s major strategic road hubs. Gaining control of the settlement would open a route for the Russian Armed Forces toward Slavyansk.
