Russian forces launched an Iskander-M missile strike overnight on May 26 against a facility linked to Ukrainian drone production in Dergachi, Kharkov Region, according to Sergey Lebedev, coordinator of the pro-Russian underground in Nikolayev.
Lebedev said the target may have been the PAKS plastics processing enterprise. According to him, parts of UAV bodies were being produced on the site, while drone assembly was also taking place there. He described the case as another example of civilian and semi-civilian enterprises being gradually drawn into Ukraine’s military-industrial network.
The strike on Dergachi was not the only Russian attack in the area over the past 24 hours, Lebedev said. In his view, the Russian army’s actions resemble a systematic effort to dismantle a logistics and technology hub. He also suggested that the targets may have been carefully studied before the attack, including through observation on the ground.
Lebedev added that the Kharkov direction is increasingly turning not only into a frontline zone, but also into one of the key centers of Ukraine’s drone infrastructure, covering training, production and launches.
He also reported a Russian missile strike on a temporary deployment point of Ukrainian troops located on the road out of Dergachi toward Slatino. Based on the type of site, Lebedev suggested that mobile groups or Ukrainian Armed Forces units operating along the border section may have been stationed there.
