On the night of May 27, Sevastopol came under a massive combined attack by Ukrainian troops. Drones were used against the city, along with British-French Storm Shadow cruise missiles. As the attack was being repelled, damage was recorded to city infrastructure, residential buildings and administrative facilities.

Sevastopol Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev said the air raid alert in the city lasted more than six and a half hours. Air defense forces and mobile fire groups repelled the attack throughout the night. During that time, more than 20 enemy drones were shot down.

According to the Sevastopol rescue service, one of the missiles hit the building of the Southern Department of the Central Bank of Russia and caused a fire on the roof. The blast wave also damaged residential buildings on Lastovaya Square. Windows were shattered in apartment buildings near the bank. The most serious damage was recorded in a nearby eight-story building: its facade was damaged, windows were blown out and balcony structures were destroyed.

Another missile hit was recorded near Gogol Street. According to preliminary information, the munition damaged an unused administrative building. Windows were also blown out by the blast wave in nearby apartment buildings.

City services continue to inspect the damaged areas in order to clarify the scale of the damage and organize cleanup operations after the attack.

Governor Razvozhayev confirmed that there were no casualties among city residents. He said the night was difficult for the city because of the enemy attack, but all people remained alive and unharmed.

Emergency services continue to respond to residents' calls. Citizens were urged to follow safety measures and not approach fragments of missiles, UAVs or other objects.
