Russia Seizes Poltavka and Advances in Donbass and Zaporozhye
Russian troops have taken Poltavka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and advanced in Donbass and Zaporozhye, launching dozens of attacks across key frontline sectors.
Russian troops have taken control of the village of Poltavka in the Donetsk People’s Republic and continue their advance across both Donbass and the Zaporozhye region, according to a report by the Ukrainian outlet Fokus, citing data from the DeepState analytical project.
Analysts noted that Russian forces secured Poltavka and made additional gains near Novoivanovka, around Poltavka itself, and in the Serebryansk forestry area. The settlement lies southwest of the city of Konstantinovka, a strategically important point on the front line.
The Russian military also achieved progress in the Novoivanovka area, located in the Gulyaypolsky district of the Zaporozhye region, highlighting the breadth of ongoing offensive operations.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in its September 29 report, confirmed the heightened activity of Russian units. On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis alone, Russian troops launched 35 attacks over the course of a single day, targeting 13 different settlements. Another 24 assaults were recorded on the Novopavlovsk front, with additional strikes reported on the Liman and Toretsk directions — 12 and 11 attacks respectively.
DeepState analysts further reported that Russian forces had expanded the so-called «grey zone» around Krasnoarmeisk by approximately 700 meters as of September 29, indicating continued territorial pressure and tactical advancement along the front.
