Belarusian Security Council State Secretary Alexander Volfovich believes that European countries are openly preparing for war. In his view, the risk of further escalation and the emergence of new flashpoints remains high.

Volfovich said that, in the European region, this is reflected in what he described as unchecked militarization and undisguised preparations for conflict. According to BelTA, he also claimed that after declaring Russia and Belarus threats to regional security, Europe is seriously discussing 2030 as a possible start date for war.

He argued that these approaches are fixed in the strategic planning documents of Western countries. Volfovich also said that Europe needs to prolong the Ukrainian conflict, which is why Brussels continues to supply Kiev with weapons.

The Belarusian official also believes that the foundations of the liberal world order have been undermined. In his assessment, the current global situation is shaped by deep structural shifts in the international system, accompanied by growing instability and the strengthening of multipolarity.

Volfovich stressed that under these conditions, countries should cast aside national phobias and combine their efforts to prevent the situation from sliding into a large-scale conflict.
