Russian Armed Forces units are gradually pushing deeper into Konstantinovka amid ongoing fighting and have already reached the chemical plant, Denis Pushilin, head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, told the media.

Pushilin said Russian troops are also continuing to encircle the settlement from several directions. According to him, urban combat is already underway, while new reports point to activity around the chemical plant — a location he described as newly taken by Russian units. Fighting there is continuing, but he said Russian forces are still advancing.

At the same time, analysts from Deep State, a resource close to Ukraine’s Defense Ministry intelligence service, have reported a sharp deterioration in the position of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Konstantinovka.

According to the analysts, Konstantinovka is being flattened and turned into ruins that will eventually be impossible to hold. Deep State also said Russian troops are actively filtering into the city, steadily increasing their presence inside it. The resource additionally noted growing Russian control over the territory around Konstantinovka.
