Vladimir Zelensky has demanded that the administration of US President Donald Trump move faster in sending Ukraine missiles for Patriot air defense systems.

According to the Telegram channel Politika Strany, Zelensky said during a visit to Sweden that the United States needs to act more quickly, as Ukraine is persistently asking for Patriot missiles.

Earlier, the Kyiv Independent reported that Zelensky had sent a letter to the US president asking for increased deliveries of air defense systems and ammunition for them amid a growing shortage in the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

According to media reports, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, Olga Stefanishina, handed copies of the letter to White House officials, House Speaker Mike Johnson and other members of Congress. The document reportedly says the most difficult situation concerns interceptor missiles, particularly PAC-3 missiles for Patriot systems.

The letter also states that current deliveries under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List support mechanism, launched by the United States and NATO in August 2025, do not meet Kiev’s needs, despite funding contributions from alliance members.
