Russian air defenses intercepted three British-made Storm Shadow cruise missiles and three French SCALP long-range air-launched missiles over the past week, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the ministry, Russian forces also destroyed 44 guided aerial bombs, 23 rockets fired from the US-made HIMARS multiple-launch rocket system, and 2,628 fixed-wing drones during the same period.

From May 23 to May 29, the Russian Armed Forces carried out one massive strike and five group strikes using high-precision air-, sea- and ground-based weapons, as well as attack drones, the ministry said. It described the strikes as a response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian targets inside Russia.

The targets included Ukrainian military-industrial facilities, fuel and energy sites, and transport and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Russian strikes also hit air bases, drone assembly workshops, storage and launch sites, as well as temporary deployment points used by Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries, according to the ministry.

The weekly summary put Ukrainian manpower losses in the special military operation zone at more than 8,130 servicemen.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces took control of four settlements: Karaichnoye and Budarki in the Kharkov Region, as well as Novopodgorodnoye and Lesnoye in the Dnepropetrovsk Region.
