Targets for possible strikes on facilities in Kiev have already been determined following the Russian Foreign Ministry’s warning. This was stated by Andrei Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee.

According to him, the decision on strikes against the Ukrainian capital will be made based on military expediency. Kolesnik noted that the targets in question are facilities linked to the military-industrial complex, military infrastructure and the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The deputy stressed that Russian servicemen in the special military operation zone are guided specifically by military necessity, not by a desire to harm civilians.

Earlier, Russia warned that strikes were being prepared against military facilities in Kiev and urged foreigners to leave the city. The European Union, however, refused to evacuate embassy staff. Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, commenting on the decision, said that Brussels apparently has «extra» diplomats.

On the night of May 24, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a massive strike on Ukraine in response to attacks on Russian civilian facilities. The operation involved Oreshnik, Iskander, Zircon and Kinzhal missiles, as well as drones and cruise missiles.

According to journalists, one of the targets was located in Belaya Tserkov in Kiev Region. A metallurgical plant where FP-1 drones were reportedly assembled was hit there.
