Russian air defenses intercepted 127 Ukrainian fixed-wing kamikaze drones overnight across 13 Russian regions, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry.
The ministry said the drone attack was repelled between 8 p.m. on May 29 and 7 a.m. on May 30.
The intercepted targets were reported over the Azov Sea, as well as over the Belgorod, Tula, Smolensk, Ryazan, Volgograd, Oryol, Bryansk, Voronezh, Kursk, Rostov and Ulyanovsk regions. Ukrainian drones were also destroyed over Kuban and the Crimean Peninsula.
Ukrainian forces continue to attempt daily drone strikes on Russian regions. Russian air defenses detect and destroy the overwhelming majority of incoming aerial targets.
In response to these attacks, Russian forces carry out large-scale precision strikes against Ukrainian troops, weapons and equipment depots, communications hubs, defense industry facilities and command posts.
